School is officially back in session, summer holidays are winding down, and everyone is settling back into a normal routine. And honestly… one of the biggest wins? We can finally park again without spending 20 minutes driving around looking for a spot! 😂 As much as we love having visitors here, seeing the summer crowds head home definitely has its perks.
But October is far from quiet — and The Company Room is back with all the favorites! 🍸
This month, we’re bringing back some of our most popular evenings, including the Roaring 20s, Rum Tasting, Whisky Tasting, and our Fall Cocktails. And then comes the one I’m personally most excited about…

This is one of my favorites! The Company Room gets a spooky makeover, the cocktails get creative, and it’s always such a fun night. If you’ve joined us for one of our themed evenings before, you already know — this is one you don’t want to miss!

October 12th is Spain’s National Day, also known as Día de la Hispanidad. 🌎

The date marks October 12, 1492, when Christopher Columbus arrived in the Americas. Because Cádiz played such an important role in Spain’s connection with the New World, this date is especially meaningful for our corner of Andalucía.
🎉 Bonus fun fact: October 12th is also the feast day of Our Lady of the Pillar (Virgen del Pilar), the patron saint of Spain’s Guardia Civil.

In Spain, the clocks go back one hour on the last Sunday of October. Overnight, from Saturday 25th to Sunday 26th, we officially shift to winter time. Enjoy the extra hour of sleep!
🕯️ Friday, October 31st – All Hallows’ Eve 🎃
Halloween has become increasingly popular in Spain, with costumes, parties, and plenty of sweets. But the following day is when Spain’s traditional observance really begins: All Saints’ Day (November 1st), when families visit cemeteries, bring flowers to loved ones’ graves, and enjoy seasonal treats like huesos de santo and buñuelos de viento.

Rota Events
Head to Parque Laguna del Moral for Rota’s popular artisan and local food market. Browse handmade crafts and discover local products such as honey, wine, cheese, seasonal produce, and artisan beer, with more than 50 local vendors taking part.
- 7 Oct – Fiestas Patronales de Rota – Virgen del Rosario ⛪
Rota celebrates its patron saint, the Virgen del Rosario Coronada, with traditional festivities throughout the town. Expect a lively program of bells, fireworks, a parade of giants and big-heads, the official proclamation and celebrations honoring the town’s Dama Mayor, culminating in the solemn procession of the Virgin on October 7th.
Zahara de los Atunes Events
🥩 ✨ Celebrate the flavors of the land at Zahara’s XII Ruta del Retinto, where the prized retinta beef takes center stage.
