February has packed up (finally), leaving us with sunnier days and a little breathing room before the madness of Semana Santa kicks off. March is that sweet “in-between” month in Cádiz, after the confetti and chaos of Carnaval but before the processions, floats, and crowds of Holy Week. It’s the perfect time to explore locally, try new activities, and enjoy the city without bumping elbows with tourists.
We may not have a ton planned this month, but that doesn’t mean the fun stops:
Highlights for March: 🎨 St. Patrick´s Day Paint and Sip – March 13, bring your creativity, your friends, and a little Irish mischief.
🍸 Friday Cocktail Tastings at The Company Room – Seasonal cocktails, great bites, and good vibes every Friday.
So yes, it’s the calm before the storm… but a really enjoyable calm. Get out, wander, sip, paint, and soak up the local charm before spring fully blooms. 🌿

This month, we don’t have any public events planned. However, we’re available for private tours, so if you have family visiting or you’re interested in exploring any of the surrounding towns, we’ve got you covered. Think Cádiz, El Puerto de Santa María, Jerez de la Frontera, or Sanlúcar de Barrameda.
That said, next month we’ll have quite a few activities lined up, so make sure you stay tuned. 😉

The Ayuntamiento of Rota has officially announced the 7th edition of the Festival de la Pizza. This popular gastronomic event brings together six local pizzerias and two ice cream shops, along with live concerts, children’s activities, pizza-making workshops, wine and beer tastings, and a tourist train connecting the venue to the town.
The 41st Villa de Rota Winter Motorcycle Rally 2026, organized by Moto Club Los Camaleones, has been postponed due to weather and will now take place in March. Originally scheduled for February, this major Andalusian motorcycle event is set to attract thousands of enthusiasts to Rota, Cádiz. (It's gonna be loud!)

Semana Santa is Spain’s Holy Week, a deeply rooted religious tradition celebrated in March or April. Cities across the country, especially in Andalusia, host elaborate processions with ornate floats, penitents in traditional robes, and moving ceremonies honoring the Passion of Christ. It’s a mix of faith, culture, and spectacle that draws both locals and visitors.
