This month, we’re diving into the long days and warm nights with events that celebrate everything we love about early summer on the Costa de la Luz. From chilled rosé evenings to smoky grill feasts, it’s all about savoring the season with friends, flavor, and a little firelight.
We’re kicking things off with our Rosé & Chill Night, the perfect way to ease into summer mode. Then comes the “Carbón Ecológico” Meat & Wine Experience, where we’ve teamed up with Tatuxa and Carnicería Retinta for a night of fire-cooked meats, bold wines, and good conversation. Later in the month, roll up your sleeves at our hands-on Paella Cooking Class at Viña La Torre, where you’ll learn to make this classic dish from scratch.
Don’t forget our Cocktail Tasting Fridays—we’ve got quite the lineup. Plus, we’re brewing up something mysterious for Friday the 13th—a one-night-only tasting experience with a twist. And on June 23, join us for San Juan, as we welcome the summer solstice with bonfires, beach rituals, and coastal magic.

What's Going On in the Area FERIA
TUNA FESTIVAL
Every spring, Cádiz celebrates the Ruta del Atún (Tuna Route), a delicious festival honoring the Almadraba-caught bluefin tuna with creative tapas, tastings, and culinary events across coastal towns like Zahara de los Atunes and Barbate. It’s a must for seafood lovers and a great way to dive into the region’s ancient fishing traditions and bold local flavors.
Vejer de la Frontera
On Saturday, May 31st, 2025, Vejer will once again glow under the soft light of 18,000 candles, illuminating its historic town center in a magical atmosphere. Streets, corners, and plazas will be transformed into a dreamlike setting, complete with a candlelit concert to enchant the evening. La Noche de Velas has become one of Vejer’s most anticipated events, drawing crowds from near and far to experience its beauty and charm.
The Vejer International Jazz Festival will featuring top-tier artists in an intimate setting. Headliners include New York guitarist Peter Bernstein, joined by jazz greats Danny Grissett, Doug Weiss, and Bill Stewart, as well as Grammy-winning Cuban singer and multi-instrumentalist Alaín Pérez. Over the three days, additional performers will grace the festival’s two stages, and on April 26, free rooftop and street concerts will celebrate International Jazz Day in collaboration with Vejer’s local hospitality scene.
Cádiz
The Champions Burger is coming to Cádiz for the first time, bringing over 20 gourmet burger food trucks to the Nuevo Mirandilla stadium. Attendees in Cádiz can vote for their favorite burger by scanning a QR code after tasting it, making the public the main judge of the competition. After touring more than 40 cities this year, the top 35 burger spots will compete in a grand final to crown the best burger in Spain and Europe.
JazzCádiz returns in 2025 for its 18th edition, continuing its legacy as one of Spain’s most respected and long-standing jazz festivals. Known for its top-quality programming and vibrant atmosphere, the festival blends world-class jazz with thought-provoking themes like sustainability, gender equality, and innovation. Each year, JazzCádiz creates an unforgettable cultural experience that goes far beyond the music.
El Puerto de Santa María
Monkey Weekend is an intimate, high-energy music festival that takes over the historic center of El Puerto de Santa María, turning rooftops, patios, and hidden corners into unexpected concert venues. Blending indie, rock, and experimental sounds, it’s a celebration of music, creativity, and local culture with a seriously fun, underground vibe. Think secret shows, spontaneous dancing, and a weekend where the whole town becomes the stage. |

Sanlúcar de Barrameda
The Romería del Rocío is one of Spain’s most iconic pilgrimages, taking place on Pentecost Monday and drawing hundreds of thousands of pilgrims who travel on foot, horseback, or in traditional wagons to the village of El Rocío. For several days, the town fills with music, colorful flamenco attire, and deep devotion in a vibrant blend of Andalusian folklore and faith. The celebration reaches its emotional peak with the famed “Salto a la Reja,” when locals of Almonte leap over the altar rail to carry the statue of the Virgin of El Rocío through the streets at dawn.
